trip itinerary

In case anyone is curious? This is what I'm doing for the next 2 weeks:



Week 1

~ Sat/Sun - Cardiff, Wales to see friends.
~ Mon/Tues - Fly to Kirkwall, Orkney Islands!
~ Wed/Thurs - Fly to Glasgow, hang out!
~ Fri - train to Inverness, for one night.

Week 2

~ Sat - get picked up for horse trip, drive to Torridon!
~ Sun - ride from Torridon, through Ben Eighe, Laithach, Ben Alligan, Coulags, (I have no idea what any of these are) then to destination Strath Carron
~ Mon - Strath Carron to Attadale Estate, through Glen Ling, via Nonach Lodge to Loch Ling, ending in Dornie near the Eileen Donan Castle (yay Highlander!)
~ Tues - Visit castle, then take Carr Brae road near Loch Duich, views of Kintail, then ride to Shiel Bridge
~ Wed - ride to Glen Affric, to Camban, ride beside Loch Affric and Loch Beinn a Mheadhoin, to Tomich
~ Thurs - ride to Fort Augustus to Loch Ness,
~ Friday - more Loch Ness and Monadliath hills, finish the ride at Drumnadrochit.

PHEW

~ Sat - train to London
~ Sun - fly home

What a great, wonder-filled plan! I'm sure you'll have a exceptional time. I have a friend who did a riding trip several years ago in southwest France, and her stories made the experience sound magical.
