Hi there!

There are four main sites for Jane Austen related fan fic. Two are PG sites and two are PG - NC-17 sites. The two sites with the more adult fiction, you need to register to read the fic, particularly at Hyacinth Gardens. But, once you sign in, you can set it to always remember you on your computer and you don't have to resign in each time.

There's The Republic of Pemberly (http://www.pemberley.com/), which you know already.

The Derbyshire's Writers' Guild (http://www.austen.com/derby/), which is the archive for Austen.com. This site is PG.

Firthness.com (http://www.firthness.com/) is in the process of recoding their entire site. It was down for several weeks recently and has only just got most of the stories back up. At the moment because they're recoding each page, I don't think you need to sign in to read any of the fic or access their links page, but you do need to register to read the message boards. You used to need to sign in to read the adult fiction, so I can only guess that will eventually come back.

Hyacinth Gardens (http://www.hyacinthgardens.com/) is really just a message board at the moment and in order to read anything at all you need to register.

I've been meaning to do a rec list of the best stories I've read, but I haven't gotten around to it, partly because you do have to go through some hoops in order to read the fic in this fandom. Like most fandoms, the good stuff is very very good and the bad stuff is, well, bad. *g*
