In other news, I've watched half of series 2 Life On Mars and I luuuvvss it, yes.

-- This was me for the first three episodes of Series 2: OMG GIBBS! Gibbs! *waves* Hi Gibbs! OMG Hiiiiiii! What are you doing in my surreal 70s buddy cop show?? HI GIBBS, WHERE BE YOUR SEA TURTLES, MATE? WHERE IS CAPTAIN JACK, WHERE'S THE RUM??

-- I *loved* the episode where Sam and Annie had to go undercover as a married couple at the Creepy Swingers' party. Sam busting in on Annie weilding a whip! priceless.

-- Also loved the episode where Sam has that weird drug overdose and he's stuck in a deeper coma and can only watch through a TV. Bizarre.

-- So, no offense to any Ray fans out there, but he's the one character I can't stand on this show.

-- Still love Gene, still wouldn't want him anywhere near me. But I truly appreciate him as a character: nicely complex, not simple, not defined by any one characteristic, capable of compassion, a man who doesn't bend except for when he bends. It's great.

-- Love the Gene Hunt/Sam Tyler dynamic, but I think I'm a Sam/Annie girl. <3 <3 <3

I leave you with some Gibbisms.

Jack Sparrow: Mr. Gibbs.
Gibbs: Captain.
Jack Sparrow: We have a need to travel upriver.
Gibbs: By "need," do you mean a trifling need? Fleeting? As in, say, a passing fancy?
Jack Sparrow: No, a resolute and unyielding need.

Gibbs: Come on, lads! Lift it like a lady's skirt!

Gibbs: Well, slap me thrice and hand me to me mama!

Gibbs: Look alive, men! It's not for naught it's called Shipwreck Island where lie Shipwreck Cove in the town of Shipwreck.

Good luck with that Yuletide choice. You're braver than I am.

Life on Mars (UK) is not eligible for Yuletide - waaaay too big a fandom. (But Ashes to Ashes is, I'd bet, so hmm, I might need to nominate that). Life on Mars (US) would be, but who cares about that one, says I.

(SAM/ANNIE!!!)

There was some Flight of the Conchords fic last Yuletide, and it was great. If you're a betting woman, I'd bet it's already been nominated, so you don't need to use a spot for it. That said, if it then doesn't show up in the final list and you really wanted it, you'll feel bad, so, ymmv on using up spots.

Yuletide! I did provisional noms but need to go back and add Cherry Ames (omg I luff her) and now maybe Ashes to Ashes, hrm. Need a solid half hour to sit and think about it!

Eyes! OMG, if there were some good Eyes stories in Yuletide, that would be fantastic!

I'm nominating Deadwood in another window...if that helps you any. I hope someone else covers Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, as that was one of the ones to be sacrificed to the final list.

I put in for Mansfield Park.
