In other news, it was beta appreciation day yesterday! And I sort of missed it. Crazy day, wasn't really at my desk for very long. Anyway, there is no way I can comprehensively give proper thanks to all the betas I've had since I started in fandom, and do it justice, but THANK YOU. I'd write a fic for you all, but then I would have to ask someone to beta. lol.

I nommed Ashes to Ashes last year but it didn't make it through to the final list - I think it got rejected under the franchise rule, being associated with the very-not-rare Life on Mars. It kinda sucks cos I know it has most of the same characters but I'd want Alex fic, of which there's so little, and you obviously can't get from LoM fic - but I can see how franchises can be difficult to deal with. I nommed Sarah Jane Adventures too and it got denied under the same rule - but hopefully people will be writing that after S3 starts. :D

No nomination can surprise me anymore, however. This year I already saw someone nominating the Teahouse Theme from iGoogle. YULETIDE, MAN. ;)

Aw, that sucks for both SJA and A2A. I forgot about SJA, actually, but would totally want Sarah Jane/Alan Jackson. Oh well, in some ways its probably best to limit the # of options. It makes it easier to choose. *g*
