get me off this crazy thing ([personal profile] hafital) wrote2006-09-29 10:48 am

frazzle

So, at work I had to deal with a certifiable crazy person and it's kinda put me off my game. I'm all out of sorts! I'm this far away from being threatened. meep.

~~~
I've given up on TV this semester. I have not watched one live TV program besides Project Runway (Michael! EEE!) since long time now. Thank GOD BSG is repeated like a million times (which is also the blessing of Project Runway), and if worse comes to worse I can download it from iTunes (I do not know the mysteries of these torrents you all speak of). Lost will also be a challenge, but I'm gonna try. I keep missing Family Guy and this makes me annoyed - Family Guy is the best show on TV.
But, really, my love for live TV has pretty much vanished. I don't know why, although my split attention with grad school probably has something to do with it, but I'm not in the least bit excited about anything. And not only that, I'm just not *into* TV - in the sit down and watch because it's primetime kind of way. I think I miss Alias. In fact, I know I miss Alias. It was comfort food, and never disappointing to me. Lost might pick me up again, but it's really such a fraught show, it's not like Alias. It's not pretty crack - it's wacked crack. If 24 were on, I'd probably be good with that (which is like cracked crack), but that's not till January or something.
Despite this, I am watching stuff, making a valiant effort to go through my Netflix DVDs with some constant regularity. I'm still rediscovering ST:Voyager, which continues to make me loveydovey. It's that comfort food I'm missing. I've watched some good movies, too, which maybe I'll make a post about sometime.
sigh. *dives back into work*
I, too, am missing my Alias. Despite new shows I enjoy and old shows I'm dedicated to, I am without "alpha fandom" for the time being.
Now I want comfort food. Maybe pudding.
mmm. pudding.
And somehow, knowing I can watch Alias on DVD isn't helping. It's like I just need it on, once a week, to cheer me.
{{{{hugs you}}}}} *snarls at crazy people*
Funny, I just added some S4 Alias to my Netflix queue. I think I'm finally ready to watch S5 -- I must need comfort food, too. I was reading HL comfort food last night.
Sigh.
*hugsyou*
I hope you like season 5. I remember liking it. It's funny - I wasn't particularly sad to see Alias end -- I do think it was probably the right thing for all -- it was just such an easy show to love.
sigh. :)
Oh, and I too was reading HL yesterday and today! I think I may be PMSing. *g*
I haven't watched Project runway this year. I want to wait until the end but, YAY! Project Runway!
I loved the one where they visited Santino and there were adorable little children crawling all over him. Awwwwwww.
Oh! I only got into Project Runway this year! But I think I may try and watch the other seasons one day.
Oops! Well, as spoilers go, it really isn't much of one. Still - there was much cuteness.
Just joining in on the Project Runway love. Big "yay!" for Michael. He's the whole package isn't he?
Why do I like this show? I don't give a shit about fashion. I normally hate people who give a shit about fashion. And yet I can't stop watching this crazy show.
Whatever. "Make it work!"
Whatever. "Make it work!"
Exactly! You know what I think it is? It's that they have to show honest to god talent. That shit ain't easy.
