I think I glutted myself so severely that a long absence is called for.
Compared to the fandoms we've known... You called Snape/Hermione a small ship--it isn't actually. It's considered a major pairing, one of those regularly rec'd on crack_broom, about 8th in terms of number of stories. Admittedly, that might not sound large--but the largest Yahoo Group devoted to it, WIKTT, has over 20,000 members--and the most popular stories get thousands of reviews. Just that ship is large enough to swallow Trek whole...
It's a weird fandom to play in a lot of other ways too--wanky as hell, controlling, anal...
But often fun...
