My cable and internets are out. booooo. As always happens in situations like these, I then have an itch to get rid of the whole shebang. But, while I don't really need cable, one does need the internets. sigh. Skimming off of my neighbors wireless is not where it's at, people. I hate Time Warner.

Okay, obviously I cannot rely on my brain AT ALL to remember things. There were two more vids in the Escapade Vid show that I totally loved and somehow managed to leave out of my Con Report. So, they get their own post. :)


The Chemicals Between Us: The Fast and the Furious, lierdumoa. How could I forget to mention this vid?? Okay, I confess to a (notso)secret fascination with Vin Diesal. Anything the man does, I'm like, right there. So, needless to day, I adore this film. It's just a lot of fun, and this vid really did a great job depicting, not only the car porn, but also some of the complexities of the Dom/Brian relationship. You may laugh, but there are complexities! *g*

Zebra: due South, astolat. I saw an earlier version of this online, before she was finished with it, and I loved it then. I loved it even more on the big screen. I don't know due South very well, but I have read several stories and even beta for due South sometimes, so I'm kinda fond of these boys and seeing a RayK vid that was as jumpy and frenetic as RayK is himself (I gather, anyway, from the stories I've read) was totally fun and awesome. I really admired the sheer amount of clips she used and the fantastic editing job. And also, I love that song. :)

I actually wrote a long, very witty, start to a con report yesterday, but then it went poof, and so this one is going to be a lot less witty. And this just after I told elynross I prefer the website interface over a client... oops. *g*

Okay, that was a lot longer than I had planned... eep. must work now.

I was dutifully writing up a con report when I somehow lost the post. Thus, ya'll are getting a truncated con report.

I had a great time, as usual. Yay for Vividcon! I dearly missed the extra bookend days of fannish hijinks I normally get with my darling New York Crew, but c'est la vie. Maybe next year, I'll fly out early to NY and do the drive again, for old time's sake. Although, in all honesty, I'm MUCH less tired than last year. That drive is exhausting! (but fun. *g*)

Jeez, that took all day to write. It's like they expect me to work, or something, around here. The nerve. ;)

I talked about more vids than I thought I would, thanks to other peoples con reports that helped jog my memory. And now, I'm ready for home.

That's about all my brain is capable of at the moment. I had a wonderful time at Escapade and would love to do a proper con report, but it's more a matter of *when*, since I won't be in one place again until next week, and by then all the lovely details will be a foggy mess.

In short, I saw a lot of people, but yet missed several. I saw a lot of vids, some amazing, some not so much. I saw a fair amount of Highlander, which is always yummy. And also Jeremiah, which is good because I was never able to catch that show. There were some fun and interesting panels, but I didn't do too much of that. There were late night gab fests with alcohol and tipsy fans (always fun). And lastly, there was a lot of rain. I've been to Escapade three years now (wow) and this last one was the most even and enjoyable, although my first Escapade will always be close to my heart.

Maybe when I get back I'll do a vid show review, or something. But first, Disneyland! :) As much as I generally despise Disney as a corporation, I adore their theme parks. (weee!!)

In other news, I have a new computer. I am now bi-platform. hee. Meaning, I have a Mac. And it is pretty. I keep poking at it and things. Hopefully, the poking will produce something. We shall see.
