I've actually had these done for ages now, and only recenty managed to get them uploaded and now finally I'm posting them to LJ.

These icons are from the illustrations in the fourth book in the Oz series Dorothy and the Wizard in Oz, written by L. Frank Baum, and illustrated by John R. Neill.

Take, edit as you will (because quite frankly I'm too lazy to make these very fancy), no credit needed, except for Mr. Neill. :D

Previous Oz icons:

The Wonderful Wizard of Oz
The Marvelous Land of Oz
Ozma of Oz

Finally, I've managed to sit down for long enough to make icons from the illustrations in the third book in the Oz series Ozma of Oz, written by L. Frank Baum, and illustrated by John R. Neill. This is my favorite of the Oz books, although I love them all quite a lot.

Here are icons made from the illustrations in the second book in the Oz series, The Marvelous Land of Oz, written by L. Frank Baum, and illustrated by John R. Neill. These icons are made from .pdf copies of L. Frank Baum's books, which I plan to make available for download as soon as I get around to it. ETA: link to my previous The Wonderful Wizard of Oz icons are here.

In the Country of the Gillikins, which is at the North of the Land of Oz, lived a youth called Tip. There was more to his name than that, for old Mombi often declared that his whole name was Tippetarius; but no one was expected to say such a long word when 'Tip' would do just as well. )

I love the illustrations for all of the Oz Books so much, I decided to see if I could make icons from them all. I have almost all of the books with full illustrations available in .pdf. This batch is from The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, illustrations by W.W. Denslow.

Take, edit, no comment or credit needed, except for Mr. Denslow. *g*

I changed my default icon yesterday. Maria's expression pretty much perfectly depicts my state of being. heh.

I noticed, though, that most people keep the same default icon for much longer than I do. I get ansty, need to change, feel stagnant, get swayed by a pretty picture, take your pick. On the other hand, I tend to keep the same group of icons for longer than those that are not my default; I hate letting go of icons and totally angst over them when I want to add a new one but need to get rid of an old one to do that. It's much harder now with only 15 icons, but I made that choice when I cut back on my membership to LJ.

At VVC I really noticed this, that people use their default icons as a stand-in for who they are, as a sign that they are speaking, or to tell people they are now posting, while I use my default icon to reflect where I am right now, emotionally, fannishly, etc., which changes relatively frequently. hm.

My paid account status is ending soon, along with my extra icons. I can no longer in good conscious give money to livejournal. I am, however, very likely to at least try out the ad-based account option, at least just to see if it's annoying or not, and it allows me to not have to move my pics off just yet and there's a ton of icons there that I don't have a home for. The only part of this that makes me sad is that I'm a big ol' icon whore, and that will have to go away, but I'm reconciled to this. Mostly. *g*

Please comment if you have more to add! I'd love to find out how people choose their icons.

That meme I did that kept on linking Tim Riggins with James Bond must have stuck, a little bit. heh. Okay, not really, but I come bearing FNL icons and James Bond icons. These were done a while ago and I'm just now getting them uploaded.

Trying to get stuff done before next week when school starts back up again (*meep* save me?).

As usual, please take whatever you want, alter at will, etc etc. No need for credit or anything. If you want text added to something, I'll do my best.

PMP Gallery here.
HL Gallery here.

Incidentally, Jonathan Firth sometimes looks just like Colin and sometimes he's not at all like him. It's fascinating, at least to me *g*. Particularly in their smiles, you can see the resemblance.

I have moved all of my icons to my LiveJournal gallery. They can be found here. The link is also in my profile.

I'm updating the links on my website, but the @#%*%& coding problem persists (only if I use the web interface - what gives, yo?), so not all the links direct you properly, just fyi.

ETA: These are all available and can be altered at will. No need to credit.
ETA: WG captures from [livejournal.com profile] astolat, all others stolen from [livejournal.com profile] cap_it, although a few were capped by me. :)

New icons available in the following fandoms:

Wiseguy - Steelgrave Arc )
ST:Voyager )
ST: The Original Series )
Jane Austen )
Kingdom of Heaven )
Kiss Kiss Bang Bang )
PotC: Curse of the Black Pearl )

These are all from the episodes "Forgive Us Our Trespasses" and "Stone of Scone". :) Enjoy! Please take as many as you all want and alter and change at will. It gives me great pleasure to see icons I've made being used.
