get me off this crazy thing

I would like to wish a very happy birthday to my birthday twin, rosy5000. Happy Birthday! Today is a good day.

And I'd like to thank everyone for the happy birthday wishes! Thank you, everyone.

The plan for today:


1. do not go to work. whee
2. tidy bedroom and living room
3. drop off laundry at magic laundry place that does it for me
4. go to spa
5. have a massage
6. meet up with roomie and friends and drink and eat.
7. tomorrow get on an airplane to go visit best friend M. for the weekend. wheee!
8. come home way to late on monday and miss the 24 season finale. d'oh!

all and all, an excellent birthday.

In other news, I had trouble sleeping last night for reasons that aren't really important and now I'm cranky and feel gross, in that way that happens when you're running on little sleep but still hyped up on adrenaline or nerves or worry or whatever. (and really nothing's going on or anything; let's just blame my period). And I'm also annoyed that if I call in sick I'm crippling the dept. I hate having a concious sometimes.

But, then, I love you all. So there's some positive energy for ya! *g*

I'm all grad-u-ma-cated. In the end I'm glad I went, even though it was hella hot that day and all of us in our black graduation robes were *dying* in the heat, but I walked, I got pictured, I shook hands. All in all a success! (as soon as I get the pictures back, I'll post. Hopefully I won't look too wilted. lol.)

And then later that day I celebrated into the night with friends. Par-tay! heh. It was not very wild, but it was certainly lovely, and I had a couple of cousins with us whom I adore, and only good friends, so what could be better? Only having you all there, too! *hugs flist*

Best friend/roomie S gave me a Janeite T-shirt. I'm wearing it now! Awesome. I'm having sushi dinner with the 'rents tonight (and maybe there will be some DW watching wooo) but the hardcore partying will happen this friday after graduation. yayz.

Last year I managed to write fic for my birthday. And the other one I wrote for Killa way back, and always planned a third but I totally spaced on that. whoops. Maybe I'll manage something by the end of the month. I've been in a weird place about writing, I don't know why, probably just shock from finishing the novel. heh. Which, btw, I haven't even looked at since turning it into the school. I decided to give myself May, to let it ferment, before reading it again. *is fearful* :D

A little birdie told me it's Dorinda's birthday today. Happy Birthday Dorinda!! Dorinda remains LJ-less, much to my awe. I think it's her secret super mutant ninja power. That, and writing some of the most amazing stories ever. *throws confetti!!*

In other news, I stayed home from work today in the hopes of getting my current chapter done, and the last two edited, but it's nearly 1:30 now and I haven't even started yet. O.O But! I did go grocery shopping, so there's that.
