The 3rd season of Who took place over a 'real' time-span of only about 4-5 days, I believe they mentioned that once they got back in the season finale.
Oh, interesting. That's it? That works in terms of the LotTL episode, but then in Kiss Kiss Bang Bang it sort of felt like Jack had been gone for longer. hm.
But as for how much time has passed since the Doctor fixed everything, that we don't really know. Sounds like all Martha had left was exams, so it's possibly possible. I really don't think she would abandon being a doctor, even with a good job offer. That was the reason she left.
Yeah, I don't think (and sincerely hope) that she wouldn't abandon becoming a doctor. It was hard to tell in the scenes with Owen, who clearly is a doctor, because it felt like it was written to show Owen up a little bit, which I don't have a problem with, but sort of muddies it further because I couldnt' tell if it's just that she knows more about the situation or if I'm suppose to read it as Martha already being an expert in her field. I don't really have a problem with any of these possible interpretations, it was just unclear to me.
