Thanks for the review of PotD - pretty as it was, the thing that bugged me is that there wasn't much "OMG I'm on a different Planet!" feel. Lady C was very complacent, the other passengers really didn't seem to react to the miles of desert outside the broken windows...
Waaaay back in the last millennium, in an acting class, the director was using hypnosis; he told one woman that she was ironing, and that when she looked out the window, she suddenly saw an alien landscape. The woman was not in character, she responded as herself: she crumpled to the floor, softly sobbing in profound fear. He awakened her gently, but the response stayed with me - it would be profound, I think, to suddenly be 'elsewhere', totally disconnected from what you thought reality was.
The Doctor is used to it, expects it even, but the passengers in that bus would not be expecting it at all. Oh, well, a relatively slight episode (for me) - mostly enjoyable.
