I'm looking forward to VividCon. I think I'm needing a fannish recharge. :) And it'll be so good to see everyone again! I feel like it's been *ages* since Escapade. And I so miss my crew in NY. *waves sadly*

It's funny how you get used to things. I got used to being able to log on to irc during the day, just to see what people were chatting about throughout the day. I can't any more, due to a change in computers at work. I feel all bereft.

There is a staggering amount of television out there, currently on the air, that I have never ever heard of. I turned on the tv the other night for the first time in months and watched a sitcom called Quintuplets. It wasn't very good, which wasn't surprising, but what was surprising was the gay friendly plot line where a dad has learn to accept that his son wants to go the homecoming dance with another canonically gay boy. It was oddly touching, for a comedy. And? This episode had two men swing dancing. Together. As a couple. Lindy Hop swing. With straddling and waist grabbing and swinging through open legs. And these boys? They could *dance*. It was... really very amusing and so sweet, despite the general banalness of tv writing these days. TV! Ain't what it used to be. Of course the other plot line has a separate (much younger) son conning a porn star into taking him to the dance, so... *g*

Can this post be more boring? I have nothing really to say these days. New job is really keeping me busy. Fannishly, not much is going on, accept writing. Always writing. I'm so close to the end I can smell it, so of course it's dragging like it weights 20 tons. I still feel it's the most boring fic ever. *g* But I'm mostly okay with this. Except for the story not writing itself part.
Hm, maybe I'll have more to say next week.
