lions and tigers and hyenas, oh my!
Oct. 31st, 2004 04:24 pmIt's been a nice weekend. Haven't rested at all, but who needs rest? *g*
Yesterday the cousin and I visited America's Teaching Zoo, which seems to be a great program. It's a very small zoo, but I've never seen animals so actve and content as they appear to be here. It's obvious they get a lot of love and attention.
I got to see them feed Savuti the hyena! Savuti is very smart and the cousin and I were quite impressed with how well the students had trained him. And there was also a beautiful grey wolf, so gorgeous, and very growly and impressive African Lioness. And lots of other animals. Oh! And I can't forget Clarence, the Galapagos Tortoise! We had the chance to get very close to Clarence as we watched how the students convinced him to saunter magestically over to the stage for a little presentation. That was cool.
