that thing called life
Mar. 26th, 2008 10:01 amHow it goes:
--Book done. It's bound. Sort of wish I had taken the chance with lulu.com to get it bound all fancy-like, but I was afraid of not having enough time. Repeat with me: I will not freak out now that it's "done". I will not freak out now that it's "done". :D
--For the most part, I'm quite fond of my day to day job. I get to work with great people. My best friend works in the same place, so I get to see her every day. I love my boss. The work itself is not as annoying as other places. Occasionally I get to talk to famous people and that's cool. This is all yay, except for when it's not.
--I am weak and selfish and wasteful. I dropped off a metric buttload of laundry to a laundromat to have them do it for me. /o\
--On Saturday, at the God-awful time of 6AM, I'm on a flight to Peru, South America, with my father. This is for family. Cousin-of-mine (sorry, I just watched the Family of Blood last night...) is getting married. He's also in an opera (I just realized they haven't told me which one). This whole trip will all be very hoity-toity, frou-frou, high-society and the like. He's quite famous down there, my cousin. I'ma be all hob-knobby and stuff. Totally fretting about my clothes, and I need to get my nails done. Just did my hair so at least I don't look like an electrocuted cat.
--This means I will have to wait to see the first ep of Doctor Who S4. D'oh.
--I must exercise extreme patience while traveling with my father. He's not really all that well, and this almost dying business that happened nearly a year ago has taken it's toll. He's much more nervous and worrisome than before. Poor daddy! He's going to drive me crazy on this trip. I laugh, because I have to laugh. hah.
--Speaking of my best friend, she and I are moving back in together! To sum up: Best Friend S (BFS), who was also Roomie S, left me (the wench!) for a boy (scandalous!) only sadly the relationship didn't work out (we all knew it, but I give her an A for effort). She's been back since late summer and an apartment in our area opened up so, she and I are moving back in. Yay! The really YAY part of all this is that we get to have a cat! KITTY. So excited.
--Of course this means I have to move all my shit. o.O But the new apartment is right around the corner from my current one. My current roommate is getting engaged, so this allows for her future husband and her to keep that apartment, which is perfect for a young couple. And I get my BFS back.
--If BFS and I lived in a TV Show, we would so be Heterosexual Life-Partners. :D :D Back in high school, she and I used to joke about the two of us setting up house in a large mansion, where one wing of the house would be dedicated to our stable of men, and we'd live in the other wing and just signal when we wanted one to come over, maybe with semaphore. What can I say, I was a forward thinking kind of girl. She claims she pitches that line to guys sometimes, at bars and such, and they're always enthusiastic about signing up, which I think is hysterical.
--I graduate in May! Uh, please sit on me if I ever again start talking about going back to school.
--Sometime in May (after moving) I'm starting horseback riding again! CANNOT WAIT.
