Jellia Jamb for the win!
Nov. 12th, 2008 03:04 pmI am rereading The Marvelous Land of Oz and am greatly amused. Baum is dryer and cheekier (and more allusive) than I remember. There were a couple of exchanges between the Scarecrow and the Tin Woodman in The Wizard of Oz that were really quite brilliantly understated in subtle humour. I should try to find them again. Also love this exchange between Scarecrow and Jack Pumpkinhead upon their first meeting.
