this may never get done
Aug. 5th, 2011 12:10 pm(so I actually started this post in the morning. It is now close to 11pm my time. That's just how this lifeday went. gah.)
Back from the wilderness! Pics in a separate post. Apartment hunting sucks, yo. Pray for me.
While I am waiting for a phone call, I guess I should answer another question. :D
3 – For each of the fandoms from day two, what were your favorite characters to write?
This is going to be remarkably predictable. Especially since, those characters who were my favorite to write, well, I wrote them. So, you know, it's not like it's a big mystery.
Star Trek: Captain James Tiberious Kirk, followed by Spock. Okay, okay, I also had a blast writing Cyrano Jones. lol. And, if you want to the God's honest truth, although I love Spock, I preferred not to write from his POV. He was ten thousand times more interested as a character from the POV of another character (namely Kirk) than he was as a POV character. At least, for me.
Highlander: I'm trying to think if I've ever written any HL story from the POV of someone other than Duncan or Methos, and I don't think I have. hah. Well, either can be my favorite, depending on the story. I might say that I'm more comfortable with Duncan but that's only true sometimes. Sometimes it's quite the opposite. When I first started writing HL I was a little intimidated by writing Methos, but that didn't last long. When the story is caperish and fun and lighthearted, they're both a blast to write together. As for other characters, I've only ever written Amanda once, and it was a blast and Joe can be fun, but I'm not sure how much I would enjoy writing from their POV. Oh, the de Valincourts are fun, too!
Doctor Who: I'm not sure I can pick favorites for Doctor Who, since I've rarely written a character more than once. I've enjoyed them all. Jenny was surprisingly delightful to write, and I did love writing Rose.
Wiseguy: Hmmm, this is close between Roger Lacocco or Sonny Steelgrave. I LOVE Roger, like, a whole lot, but Sonny can be a heck of a lot of fun to write, and of course I love him, too. Vinnie is not to be forgotten, but he's not (as) dark and (as) tortured as Roger nor as crazy!awesome! as Sonny.
Dracula: The Series: hahahaah. Um. Nothing quite compares to writing Alexander Lucard. He is pure fabulousness from beginning to end.
24: I've only ever wrote the one story for 24, but I feel I can safely say that Jack and/or Tony are/would be my favorite. I strongly suspect Chloe would be a blast to write, too.
