Re X-Box type machines -- when I discovered the WDTV Live device, I bought two, one for home and one for Baltimore, so I could finally play all my .avi and other files on TV and stream Netflix. I have a 1.5 TB drive hooked up to it now. I bought two Roku boxes for my parents, for their Netflix and Amazon, but unfortunately Roku won't do YouTube; my mother uses YT all the time for instructional videos.
Have you seen the new version of Upstairs Downstairs? It took a while, but I was hooked by the end of Season 2.
