hafitalThing 1: Tonight I worked late at the stables, watering horses and tidying tack. By the time it was dark, you could see the glow of the fire over the other side of the mountain range. It was rather pretty, and I tried to take a picture but my camera phone sucks and it didn't really come out. The fire is still very far from where the equestrian center is, so there's no danger, but it's closer than where I live, so I hadn't seen the way it glowed at night.
Thing 2: writing writing writing. still not done. need more free time. long story is long. *kicks it* Very close to finishing. I keep saying that in the hopes that one day it will happen. Actually, I only have about 5000 more words to go, the ending is nigh upon me. or something. I just need a night where I'm not busy. Come on, world, stop being so distracting.
Thing 3: Finished Primeval, series 2.
-- My love for Stephen Hart was severely tested through most of series 2. What's wrong with him that he trusted Helen over Nick?? I'm sorry, but he lost me there and I wasn't certain he could win me back. Not even with that sexy sexy walk of his. Seriously, she must be incredible in bed because otherwise I don't get it.
-- But then he did win me again seeing him devastated when he thought Nick was dead, and then the choosing to die. And then Nick was crying when Stephen sacrificed himself. Oh boys.
-- Of course, maybe this Stephen is slightly different than the one from series 1, after whatever alteration took place that changed the timeline. He certainly seemed a lot more obsessed with Helen. The other Stephen appeared to have a past with the crazy lady, too, but was not nearly so preoccupied. Or so it seemed, in any case.
-- Helen's breasts were annoying. WTF was up with that outfit of hers? She looked like a rejected extra from from a Mad Max movie. She lost any ounce of credibility for me as a villian to take seriously with her ridiculous costume.
-- I liked Connor this time. :)
-- And I think I fell a little bit in love with Lester. d'oh. o.O
-- I really liked Jenny, but I miss Claudia. lol.
-- Why is it always crazy killer creatures coming through the anomalies? Where's the herd of gentle proto-equines? Okay, okay, I guess there were the dodos....
-- Uh oh, multiple realities. Don't they know travel between dimensions is impossible? hahaha. I am *so* funny.
-- Over all, this season was tighter, better written (except for Helen, or maybe that was just the acting. whatever) and I was honestly creeped/scared/nervous in just about every episode. eeeee.
