happy/sad edition
Jul. 16th, 2019 09:45 pmHAPPY
I had two 4 days weekends in a row. It was so great. In the middle I had two days of work, and one of those days was short. That is how we are meant to live, people.
SAD
It was a difficult reentry back to work last week - I had 6 new claims land on my desk in just one day. O.O
HAPPY
I went to see Avengers Endgame again and I can report that I still love it, and possibly love it even more than I did before. The thing is, I'm reluctant to let it go. Because though I will continue to enjoy MCU films going forward, this is the last time I get all my favorites in one film together that I can still see on the big screen. So I have fun going to see it. *clings forever* (also am writing, so it helps 'cause memory is rough guys lol)
Also, the audience this time (which was a good size) was really into it. Like, laughing and applauding at everything! Which I thought was kind of wild. I mean, this movie has been out nearly 3 months now lol. Also also, there was almost a fist fight between two patrons in the middle of the movie, and most people ignored the ruckus, and I was like this cannot get more surreal right now.
SAD
(I was going to complain about all the complaining because complaining seems to be what people love to do but then I was complaining too much so I stopped complaining. Everyone else is still complaining though.)
(yes that was about fandom)
(two guesses which one)
HAPPY
Yesterday I booked 2 nights at a desert hot spring spa for October at the same hotel where they have mud baths a la that movie The Player. Anyone remember that movie? I have been dreaming about this hotel and those mud baths since I was a teenager haha. FINALLY GOING.
SAD
Then this morning I got into a car accident. :( No one was hurt, and all things considered, it was very minor. I forgot I increased my deductible though, because mom's insurance is so expensive. And my car is paid off. Oh well. Estimate is tomorrow.
HAPPY
I don't know if this is actually happy but I'm at 46K words on this dang Steve gen story! Steve is no longer stuck in the 1970s. Though he was stuck on Asgard for a bit there, but you know, it's not so bad to be stuck on Asgard. He's about to go back to Asgard right now though. And I bet anyone who knows me thinks they know why, BUT YOU WOULD BE WRONG HAHA.
Secret to anyone who reads this, the only reason this story is gen (or whatever we call it when there's no sex) is because otherwise Steve would be paired with a different person every scene. And I was like, I can't tag all that on A03. Swear to God that's the real reason.
SAD
Still have no clue how long this story will be. But I would like to be finished NOW.
HAPPY
Ending on a happy -- not only are we getting a Thor 4, but Taika Waititi is also returning! Wahoo! (the story goes that Hemsworth wouldn't return unless Taika did, so there you have it.)
I am happy. I don't actually even care what they decide to do for Thor 4. At this point, I kind of just want everyone to have fun making it. People will complain about it anyway! So I might as well preemptively love it, I say.
