Harry Potter: Whip out your wands!

I thought it was HEAPS better then the book, but then I really didn't like book 5, at all. It's the only one of the books I haven't read at least twice.
In fact, there's nothing in this film I didn't love, except for the inevitable conculsion that Sirius is still dead at the end. And maybe the sad underuse of Ron.
What I particularly loved:
-- I loved each and every scene between Sirius and Harry. I think I may have gotten teary-eyed a couple of times.
-- Luna. :D I want a charm against nargles.
-- Neville Longbottom. I've harbored a secret fantasy that they all got the prophecy wrong and Neville really is the one that needs to save the day. Except that means he might die, which would be sad. Of course he might die anyway. meep. Maybe he should borrow Luna's nargle charm.
-- I'm very happy CapsLock!Harry was kept at the barest minimum, thankyouverymuch.
-- I loved the battle at the end. And Dumbledore fighting Voldemort. Very cool and tons better then how it's written in the book, imo.
-- I'm sort of disturbed by how fascinating I find Voldemort. It's really Ralph Fiennes I'm impressed with, I suspect, but Voldemort is compelling. or something. One of my favorite shots of the movie is that one profile of him when he shatters all the glass in the hall and he's yelling with his hands up.
-- I loved the possession at the end of that scene, too. Creepy, but an effective way of showing a lot of the telling that happened at the end of the book.
-- I still adore Rupert Grint to pieces, except he looked skinny. I hope he's eating. I also wished the poor kid got more to do in these films.
-- Minimal amounts of Draco, thankyouverymuch. He gets his in the next movie, anyway.
-- Every scene with Fred and George, but in particular the scene where they're comforting that scared first year student. *draws hearts around them*
-- All the Dumbledore's Army stuff. Harry as teacher. The fact that Ginny kicks ass. I loved seeing everyone's patronus. :D
-- The sets, the costmes (the wigs were kind of weak, actually, but watchagonnado), the look of all these movies. Great set dressing.

Also? Dan Rancliffe grew up disturbingly hot.

He's still the cute kid to me, though.
