I can't seem to be coherent this morning, or I'm sure I would come up with some insightful and coherent reactions but basically all I have is love love love.

--I loved Donna period, but especially when she was on the Sontar ship, unsure but still pulling through. I also loved the Doctor talking to Donna on the phone, not really having the time to guide her through it patiently but still managing to make her believe in herself. I may be turning into a Doctor/Donna shipper.... bwah.

--I'm probably alone in this, but I really sort of love Sylvia. Yes, there does seem to be some sort of mother issue going on -- I'm not sure I care that much, quite honestly, or rather it has yet to interfere with my enjoyment of the show. Quite possibly it's the actress, though, she has a fun delivery with her dialogue.

--The Doctor sort of suffered from what I like to call Jack Bauer-itis in this episode, meaning no one listened to him when he told them what they were doing is a bad idea until it was too late and then lots of people died and he still had to fix it all pretty much by himself except for the help he got from those very few who have blind faith in him. Like Jack Bauer without the love of guns and the torture. heh. I'm sure I'm alone in that comparison since the Doctor and Jack Bauer are nothing alike at all.

--So, I loved UNIT in general, and I rather liked Mace a lot and especially loved the blonde officer lady who's name I can remember. I loved that they're all essentially good guys, if a bit too set in their ways. Although I did sort of laugh over Mace's "This time I'm not listening to you, Doctor," speech toward the end when the Valiant was brought down, because, um, when were you ever listening to the Doctor?

--Ross! No! Anyone else think he might not be dead? sob.

--ARE YOU MY MUMMY? Excellent delivery by Mr. Tennant.

--I'm always a sucker for plots like this one, where all the little bits and random mentions of random stuff come together and fit and the day is saved by ingenious barely believable science and some personal sacrifice. Good stuff. God, I love this show. I really really love it. So much.

--Rose! I've seen one or two comments that say people think she's saying "Donna" and not "Doctor". How awesome would it be if she's calling for Donna!?!

My love for Donna cannot be textually rendered. I adore their relationship - not a shipper, perhaps, but a ... siblinger? They're just adorable together and whether she's yanking his chain or exceeding his expectations, they're just perfect.

Did you notice he crossed his fingers when he sent the rocket into the sky to burn up the gas? OMG SO CUTE!

And "Are you my mummy?" ruled.

There is nothing but love!!!! I wanted to watch both episodes again, but, sadly, we were going to Rush last night, and my friends arrived to brutally drag me away from the computer.

Actually, the only unlove I have is that I need subtitles because sometimes I just cannot make out what they are saying. And it drives me batshit!

And if they get enough fan mail, I'm sure they will decide that the Sontarans mostly missed Ross, and he's recovering slowly in a sickbay somewhere. After he finishes hunting vampires with the Gov. :->

And I'm okay with Sylvia -- alot of the things she does that Donna just eyerolls at are things my mom pulls too (ALAS! WOE!) and, y'know, you just learn to deal with it and take the good where you find it. And frankly, grabbing the damn axe redeems any number of annoying moments! :->
