I didn't mind the grandiose arcs, though, even as sloppy as they were. Or actually, what I loved about New Who's (occasinally very messy) plotting was that so much was woven throughout the entire series, and obviously thought out and planned as such. Sometimes it was more sucessful than other times, but it was still nice, different than US TV where the writers just make shit up as they go along. To me, who works in this industry, it's like majorly revolutionary. *g* I boggle in the general direction of the BBC. I never had occasion to learn this before.
Is Moffat really more anthology-style? Or is that just conjecture based on his previous episodes? I like anthology-style just fine, although preferably with some sort of narrative thread and character development.
