I read the industry trades most days, ostensibly for work-related reasons, but also because they are a hoot. Like this one:

Gellar Blamed For Pagan Rise.

Hollywood actress Sarah Michelle Gellar's hit show Buffy The Vampire Slayer has been blamed for 50,000 women abandoning traditional Western religion to study paganism.

Really? Seriously?

Also, Kiefer thinks he gets paid too much. :D Bless. He's such a socialist at heart, thanks to his grandfather.

There seems to be some sort of confusion over who's actually directing Tintin, Speilberg or Peter Jackson. Uh, doesn't Peter Jackson have enough on his plate?

And finally, some interesting news for a couple of the upcoming Doctor Who specials.

LOLOLOLOL! And yet, they don't comment on Alyson Hannigan? You know? The actual witch on the show?

*snorts in amusement*

Yeah, there's that, too... Wonder how they got such a perfectly round number?

Yeah, I was gonna give up traditional Western Religion (TM) (as founded in the middle East) to study paganism (when what they usually mean is stuff landmarked in the British Isles) because of Buffy (even though Slayers canonically appear to have some sort of Not-Traditionally-White origin)...

But it turns out I was 50,103 in line.

They said they'd call if there were any openings. *shrugs*

I saw that article and find it baffling, given that there were exactly two pagans on the show (Jennie Calendar, and Tara) and their religion was never much an plot point as it was throw-away lines, I can only assume to be counterpoint to the show's use of fantasy witchcraft (which has zip zero ziltch to do with the real-world earth-based religion). Willow may call herself a witch, but she's Jewish. Her ability to spin pencils? Hi, not paganism.

The Who rumor started with the News of the World... which made me wonder if there were going to be *real* aliens in it, too. I think that's about as likely...
