ball of cheese
Oct. 6th, 2003 10:58 amIs it a sign of my encroaching adulthood that I love watching C-Span? Recently I have found myself unable to turn off the tv at 3am, when I damn well should have been in bed asleep ages ago, because of some riveting (riveting!)segment on the National Democratic Candidates rally or some congressional committee about America's foreign policy in Cuba or a Q&A panel on the media's role in the search for weapons of mass destruction (really really riveting! So riveting I streamed it from the C-Span website to watch the parts I missed!). ( quick cut tag )
I don't know. I feel the need to watch saturday morning cartoons or Sesame Street or something just to counter-balance this upsetting new development.
Also, I watched two episodes of that new show "Las Vegas" the other night, for which I have chosen to blame
yahtzee63, and I liked it. A lot. It reminded me of Ocean's Eleven, only not quite so snarky and funny (and also on the side of the casino owner rather than the thieves) but still well written and interesting. I shall attempt to continue to watch.
I wish I had intelligent things to say about "Alias" other than "This show is so good!" but, this show is so good. :) They're setting up some nice plot tangles. I can't wait to see how it all plays out.
I fear my story (for which I now have a complete draft! yay) is one big melodramatic ball of cheese. :) I suppose it could be worse things. heh.
