I think everyone should go see this movie. Not only is it a powerful look into the life of the marines and the psychology that goes into brainwashing these kids, it's got some wonderful performances by Jake Gyllenhaal (who just gets better and better) and Peter Sarsgaard, but the whole cast was really really good. Go see it!

(goes to make sure Jarhead is added to Yuletide)

I've come to lean on you once again...

*snaps fingers*

Okay, that doesn't quite work. *g*

I'm posting to say I haven't left my apartment all day. I've barely left my room and my bed. Ahh, the beauty of a having a lap top -- it feeds my procrastination habit, yes it does.

But! Even though I haven't done one bloody lick of writing for my class, I have finally managed to go over, edit, and upload all my Star Trek K/S stories to the K/S Archive. They're all there; even the godawful dreck I first started writing. :-D And I willfully and gleefully re-edited the bastards, but like I was telling [livejournal.com profile] jacquez, removing all the "the Vulcan's" and "the human's" does not suddenly make them anything other than crap, but I'm okay with this. I have not the patience to try and fix the ridiculous POV shifts I had in my early stories. Nor could I do much with the uber-stickysweetness. It was like falling into a vat of goo. Overwrought melodramatic goo, at that.

Saying that, there are one or three K/S stories of mine I'm quite fond of and that don't suck, so yay for the K/S Archive! woot.

The new and not-really-improved versions will eventually go on my website. One day. I may take the lazy route and link to the archived versions. *g*
