I think everyone should go see this movie. Not only is it a powerful look into the life of the marines and the psychology that goes into brainwashing these kids, it's got some wonderful performances by Jake Gyllenhaal (who just gets better and better) and Peter Sarsgaard, but the whole cast was really really good. Go see it!
(goes to make sure Jarhead is added to Yuletide)

If you don't want to post spoilers, my e-mail is on my info page! :)
I like Jake G. a lot (we may not get Brokeback Mountain here in Memphis, so Jarhead may have to fill my JG fix for the next few months.)

There is some violence (it is about war, after all), but it mostly just shows what it's like if you put a whole bunch of jacked up, horny, frightened, stessed-out, 20-year-old boys, in a confined space together for long periods of extreme high-tension waiting.
It's VERY slashy. :)

Thanks again -- now I'm excited!

(For heaven's sake, they fuck two girls in the same room, then the girls leave and the two men stay there, still buck naked, getting high and talking.)
