\o/ I did not fall today, yay.
Jan. 17th, 2009 04:10 pmI'm not gonna lie, I was totally (inwardly, quietly) freaking out about today's horseback riding lesson. I knew I would be and was trying to calm myself all week. Funnily, I was in such a "the riding lesson is still a ways away" frame of mind for most of the week that when Friday came around I convinced myself that it was Thursday still, which would mean I still had a whole day before my lesson. Luckily time sheets were due at work, and also people were posting Friday Fannish Five, and then I was like OMG IT'S REALLY FRIDAY. MY LESSON IS TOMORROW. haha.
Anyway, most of this freaking out was very mild. And when I got there I was totally fine. I rode a different horse -- Scotty -- and he and I worked well together so yay. I had a much more controlled steady canter, even accounting for Scotty's calmer gait. I think the fall helped me realize what I needed to do to keep active contact with my horse.
bweee!
