Awwww. Goodbye Ten, Goodbye David Tennant, Goodbye RTD. I will mostly miss you all in some fashion, here and there. No really! I will. I think. *g*
~ It was better than EoT part 1? Actually, although the crack was probably just as much in evidence, but it bothered me less in this part. I think because it didn't need a cliffhanger of crazy crackitude. That first part was a hot mess. This was more closer to room temperature.
~ Wow, that was the longest death scene. It was longer than Hamlet's death!
~ I love Wilf. A lot of his scenes were OTT, but I didn't mind. I loved that he was the instrument of the Doctor's "death". That was cool and creepy, and nicely set up in the first part 1. That's the creepy thing about prophecies, they kick you in the ass, and it's the kind of reveal in plot that I like best. All of the emotions and chest beating, etc, was perhaps not needed. RTD should have taken the "less is more" route with all of EoT (understatement! srsly) but I like that sort of horrible irony.
~ I've never been into enemy slash, but the Doctor and the Master love each other like burning. That's the other thing I did like about all this ginormous mess, was the two of them, from the get go. And especially the Master's choice at the end. I like that he isn't *completely* selfish in his insanity, or that at least he recognized the Doctor is not his enemy.
~ I'm not gonna lie and say I didn't wish Donna still had her memories, but she looked so happy getting married and that is what she always wanted. She is capable of doing incredible things, and now she might have the means for it. In my head, the DoctorDonna continues to be awesome.
~ Mickey/Martha? But didn't they look incredible. They're totally hot. lol. Poor doctor Tom. And they're freelancing!
~ I adored Alonso in VotD. I don't know how I feel about him and Jack, but it was lovely to see him again.
~ ROSE! JACKIE! aww.
~ I really don't know what to think about the Time Lords. I wasn't expecting them to come back and be charmingly stuffy like maybe others might have. I'm also not surprised they seemed to have been put back into the time lock, although I wasn't entirely expecting that -- I'm just not surprised by it. Oh well?
~ And now it's time for 11. Bon Voyage.

Date: 2010-01-02 09:06 pm (UTC)I thought Alonso was adorable. Even though I know nothing about him.
Guess I need to Google everyone.
Lovely review. I quite agree.
Thanks.
