Day 01 - A show that never should have been canceled

Eh, these days I'm not particularly inclined to cling to any TV show. If they get canceled, I'm usually a little annoyed but okay with it. But there are a few which I would have preferred at least a second season, if not a complete first season.

Eyes is the first show that comes to mind. Eyes is about a high tech private investigation firm run by Harlan Judd (Tim Daly) and his best friend, gay ex-FBI officer Chris (Rick Worthy). It was their strong, loyal friendship, and the caperish nature of the show that was the big draw for me. I was sad to see it canceled before it got its feet under it.

Another one from long ago is Strange Luck -- Chance Harper and his good/bad luck problem. I loved the premise of this show so much, about a man who has the terrible luck of always being in the wrong place at the right time, or is it the right place at the wrong time... Depends on how you look at it. It had that unfortunate time slot right before The X-Files on friday nights that saw the death of many a TV show (M.A.N.T.I.S., VR-5), and Strange Luck, of all those shows, was the one I really was a bit sad to see canceled. Not least of which is due to D.B. Sweeney, who is never on my TV enough. (He was on 24 this season! I was so excited...)

I adored Eyes. I still have some eps on my TiVo that I'll never, ever delete.

I have most of them as avi files somewhere, and I think melina has them all. Yeah, it was a really neat show, especially Harland and Chris.

I remember Strange Luck! I had all the episodes on tape, once, including that awful, awkward final episode where they tried to tie up what they'd intended to take three or four seasons for, in one episode.

I liked that show.
