Answering more of these questions...
7 - Have you ever had a fic change your opinion of a character?
Yes! All the time. :) Specifically when I write stories with characters that are not really the reason why I'm watching a TV show. The two that come immediately to mind are Cyrano Jones and River Song. And then there are the characters that I never thought I would enjoy writing but do (Caspian, I'm looking at you). My opinion doesn't change, but I develop a better understanding or something. lol.
8 - Do you write OCs? And if so, what do you do to make certain they're not Mary Sues, and if not, explain your thoughts on OCs.
I do write OCs, but in my fan fiction they are rarely (er, never to the best of my knowledge) a main character. I don't write fan fiction to develop OCs. If I'm going to be spending a lot of time with an original character, its in original fiction. With fan fiction, I'm usually there because of the characters in the source material, it's them that I want to play with and develop and explore, and if I write original characters in a fic it's only to support the story being told around my pairing or fav characters. Which is, I guess, how I make sure they're not "Mary Sues." *g*
9 - Pairings. For each of the fandoms from day two, what are your three favorite pairings to write?
I'm not going to do this for the Yuletide fandoms, just for the ones I wrote more than 2 stories in. Also, 3 pairings?? LOL. Yeah, not so much. I am usually just a 1 pairing girl.
Star Trek: TOS -- Kirk/Spock. That pairing is the only reason I was in ST: TOS. I read others, but it was all about the K/S.
Highlander -- Duncan/Methos is the only pairing I write for reals, but I like a bunch of others. I'm far less picky with Highlander, probably because the nature of the series allows for infinite possibilities. But, the question asks about writing, and I have yet to write anything else except for the wee bit of Duncan/May Ling and hint of Methos/Harry Dresden. Other pairings besides Duncan/Methos that I like are Duncan/Tessa, Duncan/Amanda, Methos/Amanda, Methos/f, Duncan/Matthew, Methos/Conner, Duncan/Conner, Conner/Matthew... and the list goes on.
Doctor Who -- Hah! Well, in this fandom things are all topsy turvy. I *love* Doctor/Rose, but I have never written it and don't really have any plans to change that. I love Doctor/Rose, Doctor/Martha, and Doctor/Donna. But have never written any of these. And with my fiction, I've never written the same pairing twice. So. Well, my favorites are, I guess, River/Jenny and Reinette/Lucy Saxon, and since I need three, Rani Chandra/Lady Christina De Souza but I kind of love all of the pairings I've written equally.
