I'm feeling about as interesting as a cooked turnip these days. I'm hoping this will pass. :)

And I loved it. Yes, it's violent. And bloody. But wow, was I engaged the entire time. It was intense, and the time just flew by. Favorite parts were the the flashback to Pei Mai (who's name means White Mustache! hee) and the girl fight between Uma and Darryl was just jaw dropping and intense. A guy here at work critiqued it by saying he preferred the action from the first movie, but I don't how much more action he wanted, because KBv.2 was pretty actiony to me! I LOVED David Carradine (who I'd just finished watching on Alias) and this sudden resurgence of DC (in things I watch, anyway) has me remembering the days of Kung Fu, which was a show that was on before Little House in the Prairie, and so I was always catching bits of it. It kind of frightened me, though, what with the scary white-eyed dude, and the painful looking branding thing.

I liked the first movie a lot, but I do think this one was better.

Man, this show is just non stop. :) The funny thing is that just the other day my friends and I were joking around that what Sydney needed was a sister. heh. I'm excited to see how this plays out. I can't really say more about Jack than what Yahtzee has said. As a dutiful mortal, I shall worship Jack. *g* Honestly, how many times has Jack done one thing, which you think is pretty deplorable, or questionable, or something, only to find out by the end of the episode that HE WAS RIGHT and he had a plan and knew *exactly* what he was doing, and that he does *nothing* casually, or without thoroughly seeing every eventuality to its end. I boggle at this man.

Next week -- Vaughn torture!! Wahooo.

Okay, how slow am I that I just now, after watching the HL episode Eye of the Beholder, realized that they actor who plays Gabriel Piton is the same guy who plays King Arthur in Excalibur? I can't believe I just now got that. That movie both terrified and fascinated me as a kid. I don't know what my parents were thinking letting me watch that so young. There was a time when I thought having a metal scull cap a la Merlin was soooo cooool. heh. But then the getting frozen in stone thing just freaked me out. And then there was the creepy little boy with the gold suit of armor that aged over night-- I just didn't know what to make of that.

Speaking of the legend of King Arthur, they showed the trailer for the upcoming movie when I went to see Kill Bill. I have high hopes for it, but King Arthur movies can go so disastrously wrong. The casting looks interesting, anyway.

In case you haven't seen, Killa has written a new HL story! Any Road. This story breaks my heart, and I love her Methos in this so so much.
