Teacher: Every year I get scripts from the academy and I offer them to my students to look through, for proper format, etc etc.
Me: (rifling through scripts) Ooooh! Pride & Prejudice!! (nabs)
Friend D: Hey, I saw that already.
Me: DON'T TELL ME ANYTHING.
Friend D: It's good.
Me: It is? Of course it is. (babble on about having seen and read practically every permutation of P&P and Jane Austen in general). Big fan. Know it inside and out. Lovelovelove Jane Austen.
Me: (opening script) I don't think I want to read this before watching the movie.
Friend D: .... Ohgoodlord. *headdesk*

Me: Hey, mom. You know what we saw in class? The Sea Inside. You should totally see it.
Mom: Oh, yes. That was beautiful. You know what I saw that you would love? Something called Pride & Prejudice.
Me: OHMYGOD. YOU don't need to tell ME about P&P. I'm all over that like a hot potato. Totally huge fan, mom. Duh. Teacher gave me the script! EEEEEE!
Mom: It was beautif--
Me: DON'T TELL ME ANYTHING. I DON'T WANT TO KNOW!
Mom: .... If'd known, I would have invited you to the premiere/screening.
Me: Oh, it's okay. I'm going with S.

In other news, I went through my list of offered fandoms for Yuletide and crossed out all the ones that weren't highlighted gold in the Yuletide Fandom Master List -- and the total number is 35 fandoms. I only have one that made me nervous about my ability to do justice to the source. I think I'm officially nervous. :)
