*surfacing briefly*
*sigh*
Having one of these days (months, really), where I just keep above drowning. Busy at work, busy at home. I... had a weekend. I did! It involved work (yuck, but I so need the money) IKEA and I think there was a movie in there, and oh yeah, I met a bunch of Pirates, which was nice. Really nice, to have this little nugget of fannishness. Fannish energy is so different then what my normal RL usually entails. It's making me look forward to Escapade. wheeee!
Meanwhile,
The apartment is inching closer and closer to being done, through many trials and tribulations and multiple trips to every sort of linen/home/furniture/etc store imaginable. We have a couch (with pillows) and lamps for the living room, and a microwave and dish rack, and a utensil thingie and, and, stuff. I have trashcans for the bed and bath, a new sheet set for the bed and pillows and towels, and lamps for the bedroom (*hugs* Killa! You are so awesome), and stuff.
We still need:
We're working on something like end tables for the couch, and we need another armchair type thing for the living room. We also want a cabinet for the TV that we can close. We have these two very large windows (floor to ceiling) in the living room that we need to curtain, somehow. Don't know how, yet.
I'm still short of bathroom stuff, like a bathmat and dish soap and toothbrush holder. This is because I am being all indecisive about what colors I want in the bathroom. I think I may go pink, because I'm a GIRL. :-D
I also desire either a new comforter or a new duvet cover. And I still need to put up curtain rods and curtains in my room. All in good time. Somethings have to wait till after Escapade.
Do I have money for all this? No, not really. It's called denial. And also stubbornness. heh.

Date: 2005-01-31 05:56 pm (UTC)We just bought new bathmats after the Great Flood of 2005 -- Target has some nice ones for $10. I think they had pink, but we got sand. Wanted forest green, but they didn't have it.
For end tables in the living room? We use those wooden folding tv-trays. :->

Date: 2005-01-31 06:07 pm (UTC)And I've been to Target and looked at their bathmats. It's times like this where my complete inability to make a decision become extremely evident. *g*

Date: 2005-01-31 06:42 pm (UTC)1. Go to Target
2. Find the cheap $10 ones
3. Pick them the closest pair that doesn't make you want to yank your hair out and carry them to the register.
Honestly -- if you decide you like them, great, you're only out $10. If you decide you hate them, great - you're only out $10! :-) And in the meantime, at least your feetsies are warm in the morning when you climb out of the shower. :-)
