hafital: (FNL - Riggins very pretty)

Brain still missing. Makes it harder to come up with pithy subject titles.

FNL: I don't even know what to say about this show anymore, it's so damn amazing every week. I didn't talk about last week, in part because I had no time, but mostly because I was just *stunned*.

I adored every scene with Tim and the chatty kid and the chatty kid's mother. :D

I loved Julie calling her mother and being all "there's no adult here", even though she knew it would get her in trouble. I loved Tami ordering Matt and Landry to take Julie home. I loved Tami and Tyra together, omg, so much. Tami is my current FNL hero. She's not a perfect mother (although she's damn well near a perfect wife, at least for Coach Taylor), but she's so wonderful, real but without being harsh. I just love her.

Lyla felt real to me this episode, but she really clicked when she told Jason he was changing and she wasn't changing with him. I know that kind of fear. It's a simple but a very real emotion, right for that age. I swear I had that same conversation. LOL. sigh. I love this show.

Lost: So, apparently no one liked last week's episode -- which, was that the one with the Jack episode? I don't think I liked the flashbacks, myself, but the rest of it was fine.

This week we get Hurley, who's father set him on a course of candybars, or something. I admit to being distracted by Cheech Marin's wig in the first scene, but I was happy to see him as Hurley's dad. :D

I loved the flashback at the burger joint and OMG METEOR! Bwahahaha. Leave it to Hurley's bad luck to be big and ostentatious. No quiet bad luck for him. Fireworks, baby.

At first I was sort of like the rest of the islanders re: Hurley and the VW bug, because whatever. But then the episode won me over by the end. Especially when it started working and they were all riding around together, laughing, totally happy.

I was very glad to see Sayid again, and Locke (and uh, so now those two have paired off? Locke can't operate singly, I think) Sayid looks good! I think I missed him. And Desmond changed his shirt to purple.... I liked the blue, but purple's good. (Yes yes, I know. These are not profound thoughts here, but I can't help it. I don't know what's going on so I focus on shirt colors, what can I say.)

I loved loved loved Jin and Sun. I love them. Jin is beautiful. I especially loved Jin and Sawyer, Sawyer teaching him english. Cute. really really cute, omg. And, speaking of Sawyer, I havent' really liked him much for a while, but *adored* him in this episode. The Hurley hug, teaching Jin, the beer, "where's my stuff". I wasn't even annoyed at the silly, mopey looks he kept giving Kate.

I was happy to see Rousseau. wheeee. So, all in all, fun episode. yayz.
