So, I'm sitting here and thinking I should comment on recent episodes or even on season 1 and season 2, which I'm half way through with (and LOVING THEM OMG), but, really, I'm so brain dead sentences are hard to make. My comments on the first two seasons would go something like this, only with maybe more inbetween: George! Tony! Jack! President Palmer! Everyone else! EEEE.
And honestly, the only reason I feel like I need to comment is to show off my handsome new Tony icon. hmmmm. I need a George Mason icon.
Things I love:
--I pretty much knew President Wayne would not actually go through with the attack on the middle eastern country. Although, I didn't anticipate that it would be a dummy warhead!
--"You owe me." Uh, yes, President Wayne, you do.
--I was very worried about President Wayne during the crisis, but then I totally let my guard down afterwards. He seemed fineish! And then, disaster. And, uh, that's not good. *big sad eyes*
--Before President Wayne collapsed, *sigh*, at least we got (or maybe I got? heh) one more conversation between Jack and Wayne. I don't know what it is about it that I like so much - I really wanted them to talk on the phone more! It's the same in what I've seen so far of Jack and David Palmer relationship, in persona and on the phone - although it's even more intense with David Palmer because Jack and his connection was much stronger, but it's still pretty strong between Jack and Wayne. It's not really slashy, but it's certainly a particular dynamic - fraternal, yet not quite. I find it riveting, whatever it is.
--Morris. I just love him. Maybe he should have trusted Chloe and trusted Jack (because, hello, it's JACK) and he's certainly going to pay for that mistrust in some way, although I hope not too severely.
--So, the Milo/Nadia/Doyle triangle is a little wonky. Milo's a bit of a doofus (but a sexy one!), Doyle is an unknown element (I'm highly suspicious), and Nadia seems to not really know what she wants. I keep expecting one of them to be duplicitous (more then they are already, anyway). The writers seem to be trying to work around a mole this season, which is great, but I'm still not convinced...
--Tom and Karen are my new favorite thing on this show. Well, favorite next to Jack, anyway, but omg, I LOVE THEM. I am seriously worried about Tom, though. He's got to be careful, especially now, with evil V.P. in power (AGAIN. EEEE) and Tom holding something so potentially dangerous to the V.P. These are desperate men... *wibble*.
--I'm worried about Audrey. I like her. She's not looking so good, and neither is Jack. I'm distrustful of the writers enough to be worried about both of them. meep.
--The final confrontation between Fayed and Jack was intense. yowsa.
--I'm looking forward to the remainder of the season, although with trepidation. *heh*
--So, I can't say I like V.P. Powers Boothe at all, because he is SO SCARY, but I have to say he's doing an excellent job (the actor, I mean.). Scares the fuck out of me, but excellent nonetheless, although maybe being incredibly evil comes natural for him, since I've never seen Powers Boothe do anything else but be evil! Anyway, I wonder if that resignation letter isn't going to come back and haunt him in some way. I sure hope so. Isn't the Secretary of Defense the next in line after the V.P.? Do we know who that is now?
Things I didn't like so much:
--There isn't much I don't like, except for, you know, not liking bad shit to happen.
