hafitalDiscovery #1 -- When I moved in May I reregistered to vote at my new address, but, suspicous that I hadn't received anything in the mail I checked today (yes, yes, talk about waiting to the last minute. hush) and discovered that, either I can't write or whoever read the reg form can't read, and I was NOT registered. TRAGEDY AVERTED (or rather, registered at an address that didn't exist). No worries, all fixed.
Discover #2 -- Mother of Mine and I watched the HL episode "The Gathering" last night and I had this epiphany in the midst of truly bad hair extensions and awful music (hush, not Queen), worse acting and a whole lot of adorable Duncan/Connor, that the Game (and the Prize), which is, you know, the entire point of Immortal existance, is actually the world's biggest MacGuffin. Go ahead, call me dim, but I never thought of it as that before. Previously I perceived the Game and the Prize as pointless, necessarily distant as well as mythical, never achievable (accept in that deceptive 1985 film. hah), but nontheless, real, an actual threat. Heck, that's how I wrote it. And now I'm like, pffft.
