hafitalWell, it was bound to happen. I fell off my horse today at a canter. owie. Fell off on the right side and I think I must have landed on my butt/lower back first because it's sore, but all I remember is hitting the ground on my side. First it looked like I might hang on to his neck, but Freon just kept going and I couldn't get my balance. Nothing broken, I don't think (except my helmet, damn it. now I gotta buy a new one. argh). I can sit without pain, but walking is interesting. Definitely sore. owie.
I got back on, and was able to control him after that, in both directions. It helped to fall off, probably, and also I was super aware of my feet because one of the stirrups safety bands had snapped off, and that made me a little conscious. Gorgeous gray horse called Freon, never rode him before. He's a lot to handle, but really sweet.
ow. I'm probably going to be worse tomorrow. :(
ETA: AHHAHAH. omg I have all this dirt in my underwear. o.O /tmi
