-- Wow, it's tough to be a dinosaur expert these days. o.O

-- I am mightily relieved to see Helen be less of a cardboard cut out crazy lady, wearing normal (and totally styling) clothing, with nice makeup and a fashionable haircut. It was a little hard to buy after she looked like Mrs. Mad Max for all of series 2, but I don't care! All together, at least for these 3 episodes, the character was a *vast* improvement, on all fronts. I can't say I liked her, but I didn't wish her off my screen quite so vehemently, and at least she had a well founded reason for doing what she was doing. I'd be pretty freaked out, too, if I saw that future and got it in my head that I had to, and could, change it.

-- I was a wee bit disappointed that it was cloning technology that made the copies of the bad guy and Nick, and not that they were snatched from multiple timelines. It seems that for Primeval there is one mutable timeline rather than infinite number of realities. Or at least, the anomalies don't travel between realities, but only retread over the same one. (ah, see, the Doctor was right. lol)

-- Nick, Nick, Nick, my lovely guilt-ridden Scot. :(

-- I love the ambiguousness of whether or not that was the real Nick who died, or the fake Nick, and the whole weighted meaning of anything he said. The actor didn't spare one word or one breath. That was pretty cool.

-- So, I'll probably watch the rest of this series because it's like candy, really, and then I know it's been canceled, which is too bad because I'd have loved to see where they were going with all this. But, in terms of Nick and Stephen, I'm not sure I need any more. What we get is pretty great and full of potential.

-- With Nick gone, all my love falls on Lester. I'm just saying. *adores him*

-- You know, I was thinking this show is what I wanted Torchwood to be. I know people likened it to Doctor Who, but except for the time travel element, those shows are nothing a like. It's much more like TW. They have many of the same elements, have something of the same goofiness, but yet are vastly different in tone and team dynamics. Unlike TW, Primeval always knew what show it was, and it didn't try so hard to be more than that. Of the two, I overwhelmingly prefer Primeval.
