What is really going on in Westview? Who is really in control? Right now my money is on that mysterious neighbor from episode 2, played by the actress I think of as Anya (which is funny because I never watched Buffy.) It's interesting that almost no one mentions her, even I forgot to mention her, but she is clearly going to be important. Also wikipedia tells me her character's name is Dottie, which I didn't recall from watching. I'm suspicious of all Dotties! Not to mention, you don't cast someone like her for a small role, and second, she held mysterious sway in that episode 2 but we didn't see her before and we haven't seen her since....

Common fan theory is that it’s her neighbor Agnes, and that she’s actually Agatha Harkness, a powerful witch and one of Wanda’s mentors in the comics.
Personally I really hope it all is Wanda and nobody else. Doing something so horrific out of grief is a far more powerful and interesting story to me.

Oh I completely agree with you! That would be such a fascinating deep dive into her character, and not (imo) entirely out of character either. But I personally doubt Marvel will go there, more's the pity. Though I think we might see that most if it is her grief manifestation, just not all of it, or the worst part of it.
