Sam and Bucky, episode 5

~ It's not unexpected that they would make me wait to see Sam in his Captain America outfit, but OMG WHY ARE THEY MAKING ME WAIT.

~ Sharon Carter! OOOohhhooOOOoooo. Batroc..... Amazing lol. Love it. In a 'what the hecking heck' sort of way. Uh huh. Power broker. I'm waiting for it. At this point I'm going to be disappointed if she isn't the Power Broker lol.

~ Joaquin saying "oh you got your sleeve back" to Bucky hahaha. Okay, I already knew I loved him. And if I end up in Bucky/Joaquin territory as much as Sam/Joaquin territory, Marvel only has itself to blame.

~ Sarah and Bucky flirting can happen a lot more. Like a lot more. Like I want an episode of just awkward/cute hi Sarah/hi Bucky. With Sam there giving them looks. Heck, don't stop at one episode.

~ We all wanted to see Sam and Bucky fight John Walker. The fight didn't disappoint. It was brutal, bloody, terrible, heartbreaking, necessary, ugly, desperate. It broke each of them down to essentials. It showed that the shield doesn't make you Captain America, it's the other way around.

~ Thank goodness Bucky and the Dora got Zemo! I'm a wee disappointed I didn't get to see Bucky call Ayo and that I didn't get to see them fly together to the Sokovia memorial. I wanted awkward Dora and Bucky scenes! I knew he would though, get Zemo back. I don't like Zemo. Though I think I would prefer he be taken to Wakanda than the Raft, but I will not quibble. I dare not hope that's the last we see of him though.

~ Bucky asking the Dora for a favor though. They're like oh sure *zip zap zoom* here you go. It took them like a minute. I can't wait. AAAHHHHHAHAHA.

~ The scene with Isaiah was tough. The parallel with him and Steve is particularly ouch, both saving soldiers but with very different outcomes. And though context matters, it's no excuse for how Isaiah was treated by his own government. It's not just Steve, though. The parallel with how they discharged John Walker vs Isaiah is also staring us right in the face.

~ I love every second of Sam and Bucky's scenes. <3 <3 <3

~ SAM WILSON! AAHHHHHH His face while he wiped the blood off the shield. His talk with Sarah. Each time he held the shield. Every second of his talk with Isaiah. How he looked when Bucky showed off lifting up the boat engine haha. The look on his face when he saw Bucky flirt with Sarah -- it was like this dawning realization of trouble and dread lol. I bet he hadn't seen Bucky flirt like that in person before. Sam's face while opening the box from the Wakandans with whatever the hell is inside it. That look of nervousness and fear and awe and and and... *falls over*

I'm so sad and frustrated that this series is almost over—a theme. You know I've been MCU-adjacent for a long, long time—this is the series that was made for me. And it's almost over. I love it so much, and yet I'm grieving through every minute of it!

It is sad that it's almost over! What are we going to doooo. *wail* It's a little bitter sweet for me because I miss Steve and Natasha, but I have been waiting for Sam to be Captain America for a long time. So now I need another 6 hours (at least) of him as Cap.
