the fugue of Yuletide

Despite the numerous posts on my LJ that mentioned Winter Solstice, and the very clear understanding that today was the 21st (deadline!), it took me until about 20 minutes ago to realize what day it was. Can we say preoccupied much? *g* Hello winter! Except for the fact that it was 80 degrees today. In December. Warm!

On top of yuletide, I had a two hour meeting and a two hour luncheon (not to mention that work was a circus today, more than usual), and I still managed to finish a beta and a major overhaul on my own story (11000 words, baby), uploading it with ONE MINUTE TO SPARE. *Ahem* All I gotta say is us west coast people get totally screwed on that time zone thing. *g*

I'd like to anonymously thank my three betas. You guys were great! Thanks so much. This story needed a lot of work, and I'm eternally grateful. *hugs!* My story is leaps and bounds better than it would have been without you three.

Despite all this, I'm still in love with my yuletide boys. *g*

Ok, so I'm sure it's me, but you wrote, (not to mention that work was a circus today, and I thought--oh? Tifah's working at a circus? I don't know why that seemed really probably, though hey, you're an actor, and it's LA, and frankly, we've all done worse for money in the theatre, right?

Oh, I knew that! I was more commenting on the fact that I was so singlmindedly focused on yuletide yesterday, I didn't comprehend it was winter solstice even though people told me numerous times. :)
