hafitalI keep having these no-sleep nights. This? is not happy-making, folks. The only good thing about not sleeping last night is that it allowed me to finish editing (and don't worry - I didn't actually change anything anyone would notice) and uploading And In The Morning to the Highlander Automated Archive. (Which, if you have not heard, is open for business! To any and all HL authors out there, come and upload your stories....yessss.)
And, honestly, there's nothing so humbling as editing old sex scenes. :D I almost kept it as it was, for humor sake, but in the end I couldn't stand it, and both the archive and my website have been updated. You're not missing much. Something about orgasms resembling avalanches and Duncan and Methos shooting up between their bodies. lordy.
I still have four or five stories to go!

Also, what is it about those old sex scenes where they seem fine when you write them, and it's only later when you go back and read them that they are too painful to bear? And it's totally only your own stories, too, because I've read And in the Morning about a zillion times and never found any of it anything but incredibly hot, so there.

Date: 2006-10-24 09:23 pm (UTC)I'm a quarter of the way through Crash of Light, which is infinitely better than TSB and marginally better than AitM, interestingly since CoL was never my favorite of the three, but it's not making me cringe every 3 sentences, so, there you go. LOL. I think its my new favorite.
I'm editing as I write for class, which is why it's going so slowly. I still have the rain stories to do! woo.
