Day 14 - Favorite male character

Maurice Lalonde, from Highlander, naturally.

KIDDING. haha. I funny.

All right, all right, my favorite male character is non other than this guy. killabeez said all the reasons why in her post here. Anything I say will be redundant. He is Duncan MacLeod of the Clan MacLeod. There can be only one! But there can also be a few runners-up. *g*



1. Methos -- Highlander -- He is actually not that far off in second place because he sits right next to Duncan MacLeod, all languid limbs and mischievous smiles.
2. Jack Bauer -- 24 -- My broken and scarred hero.
3. Tony Almeida -- 24 -- Tony Almeida is a beautiful, tortured man, and Jack misses him very much.
4. Roger Lococco -- Wiseguy -- My crazy assassin boyfriend! <3 <3

and a tie in 5th place between...

Gene Hunt -- Ashes to Ashes -- One of the most fascinating male characters I've ever come across.

and

The Doctor -- Doctor Who -- No matter the face he carries, he is awesome.

Day 15 - Favorite female character

This one is harder for me as I love to gather female characters close and cherish them equally.



1. Donna Noble -- Doctor Who -- She will never not be one of my favorite female characters of all time and space and relativity. She is Donna, the DoctorDonna, the best friend to a certain tall, lanky, arrogant alien who doesn't deserve her. She is the most important woman in the universe. She is, in other words, SuperTemp.
2. Amanda Darieux -- Never was there a character so beautiful and fun and sexy whom you should watch like a hawk if you are so fortunate as to have her among your personal items. She loves bright shiny things, Duncan MacLeod, her lovely neck, her friends, a little romance, and dancing, not necessarily in that order. She is Amanda!
3. Captain Katheryn Janeway -- ST: Voy -- I love her for being ballsy, for being stubborn, for making hard decisions and sticking with them despite opposition, for all of her strengths that are sometimes her weaknesses. If I had to choose a favorite Captain, it just might be her.
4. Rose Tyler - Doctor Who -- I never stopped loving her, not once. I miss her a lot.
5. Sydney Bristow - Alias -- I want Sydney for a friend, even with the crazy spy hobby she has. haha.

Honorary Mention:

All the women of Friday Night Lights, especially Tyra Collete and Tami Taylor.

Also, when I was making the "favorite female" post, I thought of Donna, which says a lot about laurashapiro's vid, (http://laurashapiro.livejournal.com/240950.html) since I've never even seen an episode of DW that had Donna in it. I want to? But I'm also afraid to, since it sounded to me like she wasn't treated well by the show?

Where is our Roger/24 crossover? :D

I love that vid! There's a moritorium on streaming video at work or I'd be linking to more evidence to support my choices. lol. :D

You should can watch Donna, it's okay. The awesome is worth it. It's not that she's treated badly, just that it's one of those impossible, horrible choices. She lives, I'll tell you that much, and she lives to be very happy, and her story doesn't end with series 4, we see her again in the finale. It's the Doctor who's a miserable bastard and it isn't even entirely his fault, as usual. *g*

No, really, no way is our Amanda being left out. She is truly awesome (though if I were doing these meme which I can't because I have had no TV for over four years--I couldn't possibly leave out Mrs. Peel from "The Avengers" who totally rocks all over almost every other female character evah)

Just found your LJ. I'm 100 percent with you on Jack Bauer and Tony Almeida. So where's the fic?

My number one used to be Capt. Kirk years and years ago, but...and this is strange...Kirk got bumped HARD by Sonny Steelgrave. Go figure.

My LJ is all new Sonny/Vinnie WG. (Sorry no Roger.) If interested, I'll friend you, although you do not need to be friended to read. (BTW, loved "Sweat.")

There isn't very much! The jack_tony comm has a rec post for reference. I wrote a story for Yuletide last year. (http://archiveofourown.org/works/34678) It's a bit au now, after season 8, as almost all J/T stories must be these days, but its almost seamless with the final season.

Hey, thanks! I admit I'm very very fond of that story. :D :D I do love Sonny/Vinnie, and there is NO COMPARISON for Sonny, at all, even though my heart can't really take the tragedy of it.

My heart, too. Which is why all my stories are contrived to "save" Sonny...because, well, I think he's worth saving. And it's fantasy and, well, it's fun.
