Great Scott!

Via the Telegraph, rarely seen pictures of Captain's Scott's Antarctic expedition. These are from the ill-fated Terra Nova expedition, and seem to be mostly ship life, and then some at Hut Point.

Wow, those are amazing! I always forget that expedition was around the same time as the Titanic disaster, because the Terra Nova was such an old wooden ship, and for some reason my brain registers the whole thing as happening 20 or 30 years earlier.

I loved the two shots of the ship with icebergs, especially the one taken from inside the iceberg grotto!

How sad is it that I can never think of Scott without Monty Python's sketch coming immediately to mind?
